OUR FISHING TOURNAMENT

All comments were positive so everyone enjoyed their day.

THANK YOU MARK AND JOEL for organizing this event that will be back next year. Mark was there for us despite his preparations for his wedding.

It’s true that I was too optimistic about my weather forecast! But this did not stop our fishing enthusiasts from participating in our first fishing tournament in the rain, especially in the morning. Our winner for 2017 is named RYDER (son of a friend of Gilbert Lafontaine) with a total weight of 4.2 lbs.  Joel Proulx won most weight out of 5 fish. Mark will share the results once he is back from his honeymoon, the lucky guy!  A special thank you to our volunteer referee Ray who stayed there all day and provided us with some pictures.

Some of the participants. Mark is in the middle!

Ryder won biggest bass of the day!

FROM OUR BUOY COMMITTEE

We have modified our sign according to the suggestions at the AGM.

It will be installed in Newton Bay if accepted by the new owners of the small island and by the municipality of LSM

5:

Yes, we are listening and have contacted the municipality of Lac Sainte Marie and also the Base de plein-air Air eau Bois concerning the problems we are having with the garbage containers on ch. Kelly Newton, ch de la Solitude and the Bowman sector. Many of the staff are in vocation so delays are probable. All know that this is the peak period for cottage owners and campers so I am positive that the situation should be resolved shortly. We will keep you inform!

NEWS FROM OUR ENVIRONMENTAL COMMITTEE

Sadly we have no volunteer this year for the transparency testing on Newton Bay, Poisson Blanc lake and Newton lake.

NEW THIS YEAR!

If you have concerns about certain plants, insects or any other environmental matter send us a email (with a photo… if possible) to us ( abv.poissonblanc@gmail.com ) and we have two volonteer members (Jean & Lori) who will try to help you!
