Here are your DECEMBER and JANUARY news:
MODIFICATION of the date for our next General Assembly that will be at Lac Sainte Marie on the 17 of June AM. Dont forget to mark the 5th of August for our annual community cornroast.
Ronald Thomas (VP Newton Bay sector) and I had a positive meeting with the General Directors and the Mayors of the municipalities of Lac-Sainte-Marie and Denholm.
Two projects are being studied! One is presently underway concerning a new road («ch de la baie Newton») that would service our members on ch de la Solitude and Montée Jean-Marc. Also, there is some positive news concerning the private road Montée Jean-Marc that could be upgraded to municipal standards… some owners are interested by this project (that would be the best solution according to the municipality of LSM). The decision on which project the municipality will accept should be in the early months of 2017. Ronald will keep us inform!
SOMETHING NEW: The municipalities of Denholm and Lac-Sainte-Marie will maintain the TransOutaouais open this winter. THANK YOU!
Yes it’s here finally!
If you are with Bell Mobility or its affiliates (ex Virgin…) you should have good reception!! Sorry those with Rogers will not see much improvement. Videotron has voice but no data. Now we have reception on the Trans-Outaouais !!
THE NEW YEAR 2017 IS HERE !!
Here are our wishes for the new year:
Dear Santa!
We are a small association of devoted people working together to protect our lake and the rights of its members. We have been good this year! We have volonteers to clean up some camping sites (thank you Sébastien, Jean, Denise, Max and Ray) . We have a member (thank you Mark) that will organize this summer our first fishing tournament. We have installed and maintained buoys for the security of all users on the lake (thank you Margaret, George, Jean and Gilles). We have entertained our members at our Corn Roast (thank you Carla, Brent, Butch and Yon). We have convince the municipality of Lac-Sainte-Marie to install speed limits on ch Grand-Poisson-Blanc and to go forward for a solution for our members on ch de la Solitude. We have continued our water transparency tests to better understand our lake (thank you Sébastien). With the help of the municipality of Denholm we are starting to have better signage on the TransOutaouais….
So we ask you Santa for 2017…
- Two new road signs to indicate the roads: «chemin de la Solitude» and «Montée Jean-Marc EST».
- Adding some new «dead end» signs so our friends wont get lost thinking there are driving on chemin de la Solitude.
- That the municipality of LSM doesn’t forget to install the remaining three speed limit signs on ch Grand-Poisson-Blanc.
- That next year at this time we will know which road project the municipality of LSM will support for our members on ch de la Solitude.
- That the water quality of our lake remains good. That every user of the lake respects the other users.
- That the municipality help us in installing some new road signs for the security of our members.
- For a permament and GOOD solution for all our members living near the boat launch in the Bowman sector.
- For your help in convincing all the owners and lovers of lac Poisson Blanc in joining us!
